Use of Lab-made Stainless Steel
Nova Jewelry utilizes 316L high-quality lab-made stainless steel as a base metal, and 18k yellow gold vermeil as a cover, minimizing the environmental impact associated with traditional metal mining and production.
We also want to ensure you, that we always choose Gold Vermeil over Gold Plating.
Gold Vermeil contains a significantly high amount of gold and a thicker layer, and Gold Plating has a much thinner coating. Gold Plated jewellery also tends to have a cheaper base metal like aluminium or brass, whereas the metal for Gold Vermeil is always Stainless Steel or Silver.
Although we value quality, we don't want to compromise our nature, so we use the highest quality hypoallergenic, strong and durable 316L stainless steel as the base metal, and we only use 18k Yellow Gold as the Gold Vermeil.
Lab-grown gemstones
We exclusively use lab-grown gemstones, eliminating the environmental and ethical concerns associated with traditional mining practices. Mining affects the environment and associated habitat through the removal of vegetation and topsoil, the displacement of fauna, the release of pollutants, and the generation of noise. Lab-grown gemstones typically require less energy and water, and they produce much fewer carbon emissions compared to their mined counterparts. They are created atom-by-atom, over a period of time using heat and pressure. The entire process is controlled to produce real natural gemstones (Cubic Zirconia and Turquoise) in the most environmentally friendly manner.
Vegan and Recycled materials
Nova Jewelry's dedication to sustainability extends to the use of vegan (such as PU leather for our jewelry boxes) and recycled materials (for the bags and other packaging), avoiding the use of wood and prioritizing eco-friendly options throughout the product range.
Sustainable packaging
Our brand uses minimal plastic in its packaging, with a focus on recycled materials. We do not use plastic that cannot be recycled. Additionally, efforts are made to minimize plastic usage in the manufacturing process, further reducing environmental impact.
